I am studying physiological mechanisms underlying seasonal life cycles of insects. In my PhD course, I investigated “a seasonal timer” of aphids, which suppresses the sensitivity to photoperiod for a few months over several generations. I am also interested in impacts of recent global warming on insect life cycles.
