PhD Student (visiting)

Originating from Kanagawa Prefecture, I am currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Osaka Metropolitan University Graduate School. As an undergraduate, I conducted research on the regeneration of the cloaca in Xenopus laevis (African clawed frog). Since junior high school, I have had a strong interest in reptiles, which led me to pursue graduate studies at Osaka Metropolitan University, where I could study reptilian development—particularly snakes.

My current research focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying the remarkable elongation of the snake body compared to other vertebrates. I conduct RNA-seq-based analyses in collaboration with the Shigenobu Laboratory.
