Microinjection training course at NIBB (Jan 16-17, 2020)

NIBB Center for The Development of New Model Organisms

Microinjection Practical Course

  • Date: January 16 (Thu) to 17 (Fri), 2020
  • Venue: National Institute for Basic Biology (Okazaki, Japan)

Microinjection is a key technique for functional stidues in any animals. However, the methods vary among the target species and the development of the optimized protocol is really hard. Aiming to share our expertises at NIBB, where a wide variety of everging model organisms have been developed, we held a two-day pracitical training course for microinjection. We provided four sub-courses to study 1) newt, 2) insects, and 3) medaka fish.

Prof Shigenobu organized this course. Miyuzu Suzuki joind as an instructor of the insect course, and she trained the attendees to master the microinjection technique for aphid eggs.
