Achieving goals higher than expectations, solving problems others can’t work out, and moving forward faster than average are what you already knew or will know about me. I am Chen-yo Chung, a postdoctoral fellow who is interested in biology of insects especially the developmental biology. The aphids are my search target organism due to their unique life cycle and developmental diversity. My recent researches focus on the roles of endosymbiont in regulation of germline development in aphids and the reproductive constraint of soldier caste in social aphids. The research findings would shed light on the new insight into the adoption of obligate endosymbiont in aphids as well as the first detailed explanation concerning the mechanism of reproductive constraint in social aphids.
